Florida's Private Provider Program, established under Fla. Stat. 553.791, lets a property owner engage a licensed private provider — an engineer or architect — to perform plan review and/or required inspections on eligible permits, within the disciplines covered by that provider's licensure or certification. That includes full-scope engagements as well as single-trade plan review and inspections limited to one construction discipline, such as plumbing, mechanical, roofing, or electrical work.
HB 803, effective July 1, 2026, added new fee-reduction requirements when a private provider performs plan review or inspections, which is expected to drive more project volume toward private providers statewide. permitOS is built to help firms handle that added volume without losing track of the compliance detail every engagement still requires.

No. permitOS is the operating platform your firm uses to deliver plan review and inspection services more efficiently. It doesn't perform reviews or inspections itself, and it doesn't replace your firm's licensed professionals or your relationship with your clients.
Is this different from Gold Standard's private provider coordination service?
Yes. Gold Standard Builder Services also coordinates with private-provider firms on behalf of its own expediting clients — that's a separate, existing relationship. permitOS is software your firm can use to run its own private-provider business, independent of whether you ever work with Gold Standard directly.
Do we need to run every project through permitOS?
No. Your firm can bring on projects and clients using permitOS at whatever scope makes sense for your operation.
